Cue the confetti! Around Valentine’s Day last year, our fabulous team traveled to Wimberley, TX where The Ivory Oak is located. Tucked in the secret Texas Hill Country, Aly wed Alexander on February 15, 2020.
A few months prior to her wedding, we photographed Aly’s bridals. Traditionally, bridals are taken at the same location as your wedding venue but Aly came to me with an idea to surprise her mother by having her bridals taken at Our Savior Lutheran Church, the church her family has gone to since she was a little girl. This was so meaningful — how could we pass up on such a special surprise for mom?! (Spoiler: Mom was so happy when she saw the photos! She even had large canvas prints made to display during the wedding reception to show off her perfect daughter!)
From head to toe, Aly made such a beautiful bride! I could not get over the stunning floral details on her wedding dress to the floral applique on her veil. She opted for a hairpiece that tied the whole ensemble together perfectly. For her florals, she wanted to highlight the spring season so she worked with Tiffany of Ida Mayes Artistry located in Austin, TX to put together a colorful, pastel-infused flower bouquet.
In honor of their first wedding anniversary, scroll through below and enjoy my favorites of our stunning Texas Hill Country bride, Mrs. Aly Matei!
As always, a huge thank you to Goodman Film Lab for processing and scanning our film!
